New details have emerged surrounding the mysterious case of an ex-military intelligence officer who was secretly tried and jailed in Canberra.
The man was a Royal Military College Duntroon graduate, serving in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan before he was locked up for breaching national security laws, the ABC reported on Thursday.
The case of the man, given the pseudonym 'Alan Johns', only came to light after he challenged in court attempts by the ACT government to prevent him publishing a memoir.
