CEO of Rugby Australia Raelene Castle says the board made the right decision to settle with Israel Folau.Folau said he was vindicated after reaching a reported $8 million settlement with Rugby Australia following his sacking over controversial social media posts. The governing body and Folau both issued statements of apology on Wednesday, but there was no indication he would be allowed to return to the sport. The rugby CEO said she had to make a decision that was right for rugby in this country and we made the right decision by calling out Israel on his posts and his inappropriate messaging. That remains the same we stick to our vales that inclusiveness is absolutely core to the key of rugby, Ms Castle told reporters on Thursday. Taking this conversation further into a court situation was not helping the game.Image: News Corp Australia
