Miley Cyrus Issues An Emotional Statement About Her Split From Liam Hemsworth
Miley Cyrus has issued her first passionate statement about her divorce from Liam Hemsworth, where she denies cheating allegations.
After weeks of reports and rumours, Miley Cyrus has issued a passionate and vehement statement about her divorce from husband Liam Hemsworth. In a thread that was posted both to her Instagram and to her Twitter, Cyrus denies cheating on Hemsworth—who has officially filed for divorce —and says the split was "a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind". "I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating," she wrote in the statement. "I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar." The full statement reads as below: Last week, Hemsworth made his own statement on Instagram, albeit a more brief one. On an image of a sunset, Hemsworth, 29, wrote: "Hi all, Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love." The split between Hemsworth and Cyrus was made public two weeks ago, and Hemsworth reportedly officially filed for divorce this week. Hemsworth and Cyrus met on the set of The Last Song in 2009, and dated on and off for ten years before marrying at their Nashville, Tennessee estate in December 2018.
